A major motion picture action movie, directed by and starring Dolph Lundgren will be filming in Doña Ana County beginning May 3rd until June 3rd. From May 4th to May 10th filming will take place near Moongate Cafe. Residents and businesses owners in the area are encouraged to reach out to the Film Las Cruces office with any questions or input regarding the upcoming filming activities. Filming will resume throughout Las Cruces and Doña Ana County until the first week of June. More details regarding the filming will be released throughout the month of May. 

Intermittent Traffic Control is tentatively scheduled to take place along Shorthorn Dr., east of Las Cruces in Doña Ana County, from May 8th through May 10th.

From May 5th through May 10th, airsoft guns and Blank-Firing Only Simulators (BFOS) will be used periodically for action scenes in and around their filming location along Shorthorn Dr. BFOS look and feel like real firearms, but they are not real firearms. They cannot chamber any type of real ammunition, including live rounds, standard blank ammunition or even dummy rounds.

The film will also be casting up to 200 hundred local residents for paid non-speaking background acting roles. The background actors will be all ethnicities, male and female, 18 – 65 years old, fit to average build. Spanish speaking individuals are encouraged to apply.

They should write “Las Cruces Talent” in the subject line of the email, and include their name, phone number, age, sizes (weight, height, shoe size, waste size) and schedule availability. The film will be looking for new people every day.

This film is working closely with Film Las Cruces, the City of Las Cruces, and Doña Ana County.
